The History

Founded in May 2000 as a spin-off from the Karlsruhe-based Fraunhofer-Institut für Informations- undo Datenverarbeitung, the primary intention behind Vitracom was to transform intelligent video surveillance techniques developed by Fraunhofer into marketable solutions that customers will find beneficial. From this emerged the main product, SiteView, video sensor software that automatically analyses the behavior of people with the highest levels of reliability for use in diverse applications.

The patented system features superlative counting precision and reliability. Our list of customers includes well-known retail chains specialising in consumer electronics, perfumes, fashions and luxury goods, as well as airports and shopping centers.
