Sensor bar

This sensor type was specially developed for very low doorways and extreme environmental requirements like those found in the automotive industry (buses, trains). The measuring technique is based on infrared PSD modules (PSD = Position Sensitive Device) that are switched in series and mounted in a double row. This results in a three dimensional scanning of the scene. If the double measurements, 16 in total, are presented in the form of a chronological ”waterfall“ this can, when processed with digital image evaluation methods, be used to count people.
